J.crew was the theme of my birthday, and will be of the next two outfit posts. E got me this Jade green skirt I’ve been wanting and I’m in love. It’s not as drab as a khaki, black or blue, but it’s still a total staple piece for office wear.

E and I have been talking a little more about what would happen if a pastoral job came up sooner than we were planning. We’re not going anywhere soon, but we never know when it might come up.

I can’t stop thinking about how much I’m going to miss our backyard someday. Even the sad old tree stump (which I have a great plan for!), and the patchy bushes. But especially the hills and our garden and patio and firepit.

Lots of layers on top with this outfit. I attempted to alter this way too large top because I couldn’t resist the polka dots, but I botched it royally so I can only wear it underneath other layers. So the blazer returns…
