This is a seasonally modified copycat outfit. i knew I wanted to wear my gingham shirt, and that Kendi has posted lots of fun outfits featuring her blue gingham, so I pinterested (yes, it’s a verb now) her and loved this combination.

But she had worn in it the fall with tights and boots. (see Kendi’s original post) So I slipped on my sexy suede heels and called it a [hot, summer] day. 

This might prove to be the hardest part of my challenge and it’s only Day 3! 

The truth is, I only have about 5 items that are patterned in my closet, and I ran out of potential pattern mixes after one try.

So, in desperation I scraped to the bottom of my dresser drawer and found a tank top I wore almost every day the summer of 2006. and I made it work.

I guess I should have contrasted my neutral outfit with a more colorful background.

I also have realized that I cannot pull off a straight face for these photos. I look weird doing anything but smiling. But smiling in every pic feels boring.

What is going on with my hand here? Someone please come save me from myself.

With my new ‘do, these sexy [italian leather] heels, cropped pants and bright lips, I was feeling like a real Italian last week.
