I’ve been looking for an affordable polka dot top for what feels like forever (ok, a couple of months). It never occured to me to check Forever21 when I’m shopping, but when I saw a fashion blogger link to a fun piece of jewelry, I started down a polka dotted rabbit hole that led me to this beauty. And ain’t she?

I get bored with my hair so easily, I’m usually asking my patient, talented stylist to ‘try something new’ about every 8 weeks. This time she showed me how to curl my hair with my straightener, and I’ve been trying it, to varying levels of success all week.  [This is right after leaving the salon - I love the vintage look of the cut!]

meet kitty - a recent fashion accessory

As you can probably tell, I took these photos at my parents’ last week where there was a new litter of kittens roaming around the homestead. This one in particular wouldn’t stop getting underfoot, so I decided to make her blog famous. What a diva.

ps. is the country so peaceful and homey looking? It was a nice little getaway.
