I’m currently on a plane coming home from a long weekend in DC for E’s best friend’s wedding, wearing sweats.

But good news - this might be my last post of photos prior to my most recent haircut… I’m almost caught up!

This is one of my favorite ensembles for slightly-more-casual-than-usual summer work wear. Looking at these pictures now, the skirt length looks fine, but why is it that anytime a skirt sits above my knees I feel so self-conscious at work? Anyway, it’s hot everywhere in the country this week, even in lovely San Diego, so I was going for breathability.

After six months of looking at and trying on chambray shirts that all seemed too low-quality to be worth buying, I found the perfect one! It’s from Dockers, so kind of unexpected, but it feels very durable and is a very flattering cut.

For work, I wore it under a sleeveless dress, accessorized by the necklace I won from In Pursuit of Pretty Things’ anniversary giveaway
